About the event
Why do we sometimes have a voice in our heads that is critical, negative or damaging, and appears to be against us? Why do we make choices that are not in our best interests, or say 'no' to opportunities that could potentially make us happy? Early trauma is a situation of complete overwhelm & helplessness, where we have to identify with an outside perpetrator in order to survive. The 'no' that we encounter in the adults around us then becomes internalised - even normalised - when in reality it has no place in our psyche. This workshop is a safe space in which to explore this phenomenon, identifying the perpetrator energy within us and gently reconnecting with our own 'yes', to ourselves and to life.
