Being Born, Giving Birth

Our own birth process is one of the most crucial times in our  lives, when we are at our most vulnerable, and we most urgently need the  support, love and presence of our mother. When this support is not  available, we have no option but to split off the pain of abandonment -  and the very real fear of death - in order to survive. As women, when we  give birth ourselves, or as men, when we support a partner or loved one  to give birth, we are likely to come into contact with our own  traumatic birth experiences. This can have a detrimental effect on our  ability to be present for ourselves and our own children.

This  workshop is a tender, gentle space to explore both our own birth, and  the births of our children, in order to enable better contact - within  ourselves, and with the people we love.
